I am currently looking for a Purchasing & Contract Manager on behalf of my client, a company specializing in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and EV charging infrastructure development, with more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector. This is a permanent position based in Paris. Context & Challenges of the Position You will join the Product Department, which covers Engineering & Product Development, Project Management Office, and Supply Chain & Quality. This is a newly created position. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain & Quality Director, your main responsibility will be to structure and formalize the company's procurement function: implementing purchasing processes, standards, framework agreements, contractual governance, and legal safeguards - all the foundations required to progressively build a structured procurement organization. Key Responsibilities - Lead tendering processes, supplier selection (RFQs/RFPs), and contract negotiations for equipment (battery cells, modules, BMS, inverters, power electronics, and related equipment) as well as services (EPC, O&M, transportation, etc.) in order to secure optimal commercial terms (pricing, delivery, warranty, payment conditions, logistics, etc.). - Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and technology providers. - Manage framework agreements in close collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams. - Collaborate with Engineering, Legal, Quality & Technical Support, and Country Project Delivery teams to align technical and commercial requirements. - Monitor global supply chain risks, including geopolitical and raw material risks (lithium, nickel, cobalt, etc.), as well as market dynamics and cost trends with
