Your Mission The Carpool Monetization team plays a key role at BlaBlaCar: designing and iterating on the models that monetize our core carpool activity. We are looking for a Mid-level Backend Engineer to help us build, scale and optimize our Monetization core services. You will work on the full feature lifecycle, from early discovery and technical design to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement. As part of a multi-stack team (3 FE engineers, 4 BE engineers, 1 PM, 1 UX Designer, 1 EM), you will contribute to initiatives such as subscriptions, freemium experience, insurance flows, ESC deployment (Energy Saving Certificates), and the rollout of monetization in new countries. Our tech stack includes: - Java backend services exposed through REST APIs - Kubernetes-based infrastructure managed with Terraform - Event driven architecture with Kafka - Datadog for application and infrastructure monitoring You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to frontend developments depending on your interests. Your responsibilities - Develop, maintain and monitor our Monetization core services - Be responsible for the quality of the application, and contribute to improving it.
